1926 Fiat 509 Monza Special FIA papers in progress

This Monza Special uses a lightened but original 509 chassis. Her OHC engine is a 1 litre, and her weight (a mixture of aluminium and steel) is less than 665 kgs. An excellent power to weight ratio for the period. The competition version of the Fiat 509s ticks enough boxes to be considered one of the fastest vehicles of her era.

Since the origins of the make, the spirit of competition has been apparent, producing for every new version Sport models for both the road and for competition. This Monza Special with her 2 offset seats, has been entirely restored in the early 80's with attention to keeping the Monza as original as possible. Since leaving the workshop she has not ceased to compete in numerous rallies and historic races. Proper servicing ensures that today this Monza is in good overall condition, a beautiful patina and fabulous details. A serious number of spares are included (engine, gearbox, carburettors etc.)
