1938 MG-Q Type Supercharged |
This 1938 supercharged MG 'Q' type has been fully restored; a costly renovation which was completed in 2007. With a supercharged XPAG engine, a TA chassis, aluminium 'Q' type bodyshell, and a 5 speed synchro gearbox, this car is a blend of lightness, power and elegance. She is presently cut down in preparation for her next historic circuit races.

However she comes complete with 4 'K' type wings, her two large headlights and an extra rear light, two discreet indicators and a 2nd 'Q' type aero-screen, everything in keeping with the general condition of the car.
This 'Q' type in the expert hands of Steve Baker has recently distinguished herself around the streets of Angoulême in the Charente Department of France, venue of the famous Grand Prix des Remparts. She has also competed in several Hill-climb meetings with our own JCB racing team. She is eligible for literally any historic event in England or France, eligible for many events.
Mechanically, her hydraulic braking system and careful restoration make this car truly reliable; which is rare today for such a competitive automobile. Her condition is very close to concourse requirements. |
