MacArthur Racing Alvis 12/50, original and very quick. Tasty history with a very complete dossier including photos of the car from the 30's, 40's and 50's etc. Newspaper articles and a complete manual.
Mac-Arthur, a pilot, won many races at the wheel of this Alvis. He sold it as a road car to Alan GRIFFIN in the States who then reconverted it to it's race spec.

The previous owner, Bran Maile, a talented driver brought the car to the UK then sold it to GROC Racing run by Geoff O'Connel, who spent over 4 years passionately rebuilding her.
ENGINE. 4 cyl. cast iron head, aluminium block and sump, fitted with counterbalanced Phoenix crankshaft and conrods with alloy pistons. Twin pressure fed SU's mounted on a fully balanced inlet manifold, dashboard mounted fuel hand pressure pump, fuel tank with quick action filler cap. Overhead push rod operated valves and single camshaft. The flywheel mounted MGB diaphragm clutch and plate drives a gearbox connected via a Lotus doughnut. Bore and stroke 72 ...(see more) |

Chassis 4206 matching engine EN 4206 (original Salmson 1.100cc engine)
Car is 100% original and untouch condition: paint, body (alloy), chassis, wood, floor, engine, trim, gauges...
It's in excellent running condition, starting "at the button" from crank handle. A real registered piece of Salmson-Bignan history.
Original French registration. Car located Northem France.
